Despite his alleged involvement in high profile Murder case of Mongolian Translator he was chosen to lead UMNO’s Next Dynasty. While Global Political waves running away from racism and skin colour, Malaysian ruling party politician going against it by preaching racial politics.

While , at the other side Malaysian had Anwar Ibrahim whom managed to convince opposition to form Pakatan Rakyat Alliance , which now governing five states. Recently, Ramon Navaratnam, president of Transparency International Malaysia, tells he thinks Anwar is a good candidate on Mkini tv’s ‘Uncensored’ talk show.

Who ever lead Malaysia as next Prime Minister will be as hard as any job of any Prime Minister has ever had. The Next Prime Minister must bear extraordinary leadership, managerial and cognitive abilities to deal with New and well-informed Generation of Malaysia.

However, we should avoid Too Cool Prime Minister

One Quality that Next Prime Minister must pose is the ability to persuade all groups of leaders into a common ground. Current leadership has no ears and eyes towards public plight demanding changes including abolishment of ISA, calling Fair Elections, Judiciary reforms, Fair Treatment of Malaysian as Malaysian and formation of Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission or IPCMC. They rather act as DEAF and DUMP, while accord Heroic welcome for those preach racism.

Leaders must able to grab the People’s voice demanding changes. They must willing to hear their grievances from the grassroots. The Pakatan Rakyat Alliance manage to consolidate different political group into one . It’s a major success for them as it unite most Malaysian Under one political umbrella similarly to what Nations Founding Fathers Did.

If the leader cann’t persuades different branches of it’s own political alliance to stay in course how he will lead the nation then?

In multiracial country like Malaysia you cann’t simply sit there say “ Do this, Do that” and misusing authority against your opponent whom getting stronger day by day. Similar to what Prime Minister in waiting did against thousand of Indians gathered peacefully on November 25, 2007 at Kuala Lumpur. The leader must posses the ability to keep cool under pressure.

Malaysian also looking for Prime Minister who is smart and open minded. You cann’t mastermind political ploys with age-old strategies. Arresting or kidnapping opposition leaders for their own safety or with unfounded reasons may not work at this age. The leader also cann’t deny any happening in country due to technological advance that made information travels faster.

If they cann’t get rid their political opponents, how they going to manage bubbling economic currently world facing. In 1998, we don’t see Americans economy crash, we don’t hear any economy bail out there then. We don’t hear China and Indian was affected then. We don’t hear Europe stock market crash too then. Palm Oil price was raising then. Probably expansionary Budget may suit to boost up economy further but at current Malaysia need creative Economy management.

At current time our economy very much vulnerable as our commodities, crude oil and another produce including electronics is exported to countries that faces tremendous recession.

Why, do we need Leaders whom keep Denying and living in world of outdated economic approach?

Ideally, the next leader should able to inspire people by considering multiple views to get things done. Malaysian today’s need leader whom can up bring the entire Malaysian society to next level of globalizations , Globalization of Politics without sacrificing the root of Malaysian multiracial origin. The next leader also need to be aggressive in taking action while listen to people whom disagree and has different voices not blindly ignore them.

The freedom of citizen to gather had gone along ago, now Freedom to wear T-Shirt of their choice and Signing National Anthem also been culled.

The fear of losing contrived ruling government deploy heavy police personnel to a peaceful gathering. While, nothing been done to prevent skyrocketing crime rates.

Last year they arrested Five Hindraf leaders under ISA on ground of nation to threat, in 2008 authorities running after Anti- ISA T-Shirts followed by those singing National Anthem. Just to fulfill their annual quota police may arrest few more elected representative and Human Right champions.

Education Bureau of Member of Parliament Kapar conducted a half day seminar to SPM Candidates yesterday. Some 35 students attended the programme conducted by professional teachers and speakers.

YB S. Manikavasagam extended his Good Luck and Best Wishes to all SPM Candidates while express education is the only way for Malaysian to move forward.  SPM examination is the first of many barriers youngster need to break. If they manage to get through it successful then all other barriers will collapse easily as the basics already there.

Manikavasagam also thanked Education Bureau Chaimperson for his effort to organise the seminar .

Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam, who visited both villages yesterday, said Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) had said the problem would be rectified within 10 days when the supply was disrupted on Oct 13.

Almost three weeks later, he said, the problem has begun to affect business on the island, a popular weekend dining spot for both Malaysians and foreign tourists.

He plans to raise the matter with Klang MP Charles Santiago.

“We will attempt to push for an emergency motion to debate the crisis, which is a matter of public interest,” he said, adding that he would also try to meet with Energy Water and Communications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor in Parliament to discuss the problem.

The villagers of Sungai Lima yesterday said they have been using rain water to supplement the fresh water brought to the island by Syabas.

Village head Tan Chui Cheng said water was delivered to Sungai Lima every three or four days but not according to a fixed schedule.

“Syabas sends us water at no fixed time, and what we get is barely enough for two days,” he said.

Kor Teck Tze said they have resorted to praying for rain, but only at night.

“If it rains in the day, we also get water but we can’t go out to fish.”

On Tuesday, Syabas corporate communications general manager Abdul Halem Mat Some said that the water supply should be restored by next week.

He said a shipping lane into Port Klang would be closed on Thursday so divers could find a leak on a 1.5-kilometre stretch of underwater pipe that supplies fresh water to the island.

He said the pipe would be floated to locate the leak and repairs would take another two days.

He said Syabas has rented three vessels at a cost of RM800,000 to supply water to the island.

Beliau amat menyesali tindakan pegawai-pegawai Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) yang enggan bekerjasama dengan pejabatnya. Walaupun kami telah memaklumkan lawatan ini ke Pejabat SYABAS Daerah Klang dan memohon maklumat sehari sebelum tetapi tiada seorang pun pegawai bertanggungjawab berada disini ataupun memaklumkan saya perkembangan terkini.

KECEWA AKAN KELEKAAN SYABAS MENGATASI GANGGUAN BEKALAN AIR BERSIH DI PULAU KETAM

Masalah Gangguan Bekalan Air Bersih di Pulau Ketam masih telah berlanjutan hampir tiga minggu tanpa sebarang tindakan yang menyakinkan.

Saya amat kecewa akan tindakan sambil lewa oleh Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS). SYABAS juga tidak menghiraukan permintaan pejabat saya untuk mengetahui status masalah ini serta  perkembangan terkini.

Penduduk di Pulau Ketam semakin hari semakin tertekan akibat kesengsaraan yang semakin berlanjutan.

SYABAS seharusnya bertindak segera mengatasi Kebocoran paip di dasar laut kerana ianya bukan kali pertama. SYABAS mempunyai pengalaman yang serupa pada tahun 2006. Maka, saya amat harian akan kelekaan mereka yang seolah-olah mengecilkan sumbangan penduduk Pulau Ketam.

Saya berharap SYABAS akan memulihkan bekalan air sepenuhnya sekurang-kurangnya pada Selesa depan sebagaimana dilaungkan oleh Ketua Pegawai Ekeskutifnya.

Saya juga sangat berharap pihak SYABAS akan memaklumkan perkembangan terkini kepada akan sebarang masalah yang melibatkan kawasan Parlimen Kapar di masa akan datang.

Malaysians ask themselves if they are ready for a Non Malay leader:

Is Malaysia ready to be led by its own Barack Obama, someone who is not from the country’s Malay-Muslim majority?

The question has become a talking point for many Malaysians, including Members of Parliament, following Mr Obama’s victory.

Prime Minister Abdullah AhmadBadawi himself said it was possible that Malaysia could have a non-Malay leader.

“It is up to the people to decide, just as the Americans had done through the democratic process,” Mr Abdullah told reporters late on Wednesday while extending his congratulations to the US president-elect.

According to the Associated Press, Mr Abdullah’s comments sparked a flurry of reactions from politicians and ordinary Malaysians.

Many from the large ethnic Chinese and Indian minorities welcomed his comments but voiced scepticism that such a breakthrough could occur anytime soon.

Malaysia’s Constitution does not impose racial or religious restrictions on the prime minister’s post, but the country has always been run by Malay-Muslim leaders of its biggest political party, Umno.

Mr Abdullah’s United Malays National Organisation is the linchpin of a 13-party multi-ethnic governing coalition.

The Prime Minister is supposed to be the head of the coalition or party that holds a majority in Parliament.

Malay-Muslims account for nearly two-thirds of Malaysia’s 27 million people, while Chinese and Indians, who are mainly Buddhist, Christian and Hindu, are the main minorities.

“Can a Chinese, Indian, Kadazan or Iban become prime minister?” senior opposition figure Lim Kit Siang of the Democratic Action Party wrote on his blog.

“There will be strong voices …who would rise up to say ‘no’.” Mr Lim’s statement received more than 100 comments within 12 hours.

One Malay reader criticised Mr Lim for raising “a very sensitive issue”, adding that minorities should respect the leadership of Malays.

However, Ms Jaymee Goh, a 24-year-old Chinese, said Mr Obama’s victory made it easier for her to imagine having anon-Malay leader eventually.

“If America can get a black man in that high a leadership position … then there is no reason left for Malaysia to hold to any racial discrimination,” Ms Goh said.

In Parliament yesterday, opposition MP Salahuddin Ayub, from Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) said the country should follow the American way of choosing their leaders without looking at skin colour.

He added that the opposition alliance Pakatan Rakyat, which includes PAS, will provide equal opportunity for all races if it comes to power.

But government MP Azmi Khalid questioned PAS’ readiness to accept a non-Malay leader.

“PAS was not happy with the idea of appointing a non-Malay deputy prime minister to the extent of coaxing 10 Umno MPs to join PAS to ensure that the seat will not fall to DAP,” he noted.

The president of the Malaysian Chinese Association, Mr Ong Tee Keat, said it is time for Malaysians to free themselves of racial prejudices, reported Bernama news agency.

“Sadly in Malaysia, we are still bickering over the appointment of a Chinese lady as acting general manager for the Selangor State Development Corporation,” Mr Ong said.

So, who would fit the bill of a Malaysian Barack Obama?

Analyst Ong Kian Ming, writing in malaysiakini, offered this profile: “The Malaysian equivalent of Obama would be a Chinese Muslim who is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, grew up with adopted Malay parents in Kelantan, got his undergraduate degree from a Malaysian public university and then went on to get his Masters from Oxford or Cambridge.”

Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam made a spot check to factories around Sungai Puloh Industrial Area on complaints received from nearby housing area.

I don’t understand how the previous state administration approved housing project surrounded by charcoal processing factories. There are also plan to build two primary schools  here . Beside the residents including pregnant ladies , health young childrens had gambled by corrupted persons.

I was informed that Prime Minister, Department of Environment , Former Selangor State Government were aware of this problem but no steps been taken yet added Manikavasagam after visiting the factories. While, current State Government trying best it could.

Also understood beside few charcoal plant, there are big timber processing plant , paint factories own by well known Malaysian Corporate Companies. I would like to call upon the Industries and Developers to show their corporate social responsibilities.

We  already met residents , developer ,  State Exco member and now we want to hear from Industries nearby on possible solution.

Manikavasagam is expected to hold Press Conference soon on this matter.

Finally the “ Denial Government” awake from it’s Denial that our Economic doing very well despite Global Financial Turmoil. Despite Denial Finance Minister announced RM 7 Billion Economic Stimulus Package on top of RM 10.00 billion allocated to Valuecap purchasing under Value stocks and additional RM 5.00 billion of public saving on EPF Contributions. In total RM22.00 billion, about 50% of What DAP announced recently.

Why does we need additional RM 7.00 billion on top of record RM 200.00 billion budget announce by then Finance Minister? Both RM 7.00 Billion Stimulus Package and RM 10.00 Billion Valuecap is just to save UMNOputrans from collapsing further and appreciate UMNO heads in selecting Najib as it’s President.

The only Domestic Consumption booster here is the voluntary EPF contribution cut from 11% to 8% by stimulating local retail industry. However, workers stand changes of losing thousand of ringgit of savings. Reducing petrol price to market level also able to boost up Domestic Consumptions. Why should Government protect Oil companies rather then General Public?

Almost 50% of the RM7.00 billion package allocated to boost up construction and related industries. There are thousand of houses and apartments build and sold but remain unoccupied? They remain deaf on this matter, as UMNOputras not going to make money out of it.

In other word, Government had punished Malaysian to contribute 3% of their savings to boost up Economic , while UMNOputrans continue living in luxury.

Where had MIC Young Champions gone Now? I didn’t see them in front of City Hall (DBKL) as what they did in front of Selangor State Administration Building when a temple demolished in Ampang recently ?  It’s a temple been demolished by their own Government be it old structure or new Structure? Where had they Gone?

Can’t City Hall officer wait another one month to enable temple priest perform necessary ritual in removing old Statues inside the temple and secure place of living for himself and his family.  DBKL had shown the real racism and insensitivity  towards other religion followers.

What is the link between MIC , It’s Deputy Minister and planned road work extension that need such fast action?

The Barisan Nasional lead Government now trying to instigate racism and religious worry among Malaysian Minorities so that they can champ upcoming UMNO election. They trying all could to rekindle our angerness.
