52nd Merdeka Message
Wishing all Malaysian, a Happy 52nd Merdeka. Naturally Malaysian had achieved hardware growth tremendously with better infrastructure and skyscrapers’ however , the much needed tolerance and understanding of each other had widen in last two over decades. The recent severed Cow Head demonstration in front of Selangor State Secretariat could justify my worries.
I don’t understand their reason that place of worship i.e Hindu temple cann’t situated nearby a surau. I would like call upon those missed informed to visit Little India , Klang. Just observed how hugely build Churches , Hindu Temple , Sikh Temple and a Mosque situated nearby. A similar situation like in Section 23 Shah Alam also prevail in Taman Sri Andalas, Klang where a properly build Temple situated nearby a Surau too. If this can happen when Barisan Nasional ruling the state why cann’t now?
After the fall of racial politics , now unscrupulous politicians trying to politicised religions. Beware of them?
This year Merdeka Theme “1 Malaysia , People First Performance now” came into conceptualisation mainly due to Pakatan Rakyat human approach. Last 50 years , we saw only the majority voice been heard loudly as minorities was made to believe they had to follow the Elite. As more and more Malaysia believe that all Malaysian must be treated equally and fairly as outline in our Federal constitutions, opposition gain sizeable support and trust of Malaysian. As the results of PEOPLE’s POWER the current ruling government has slow down their tones by :
a) Liberalisation of Economy participations
b) Free Electricity and Now Free Mutual Fund Shares for the poor
c) Plan to raise earning level of poor to RM 3000
d) Plan to abolish race column from official forms.
e) Special allocations for vernacular schools
f) released of ISA detainees and review of ISA law, and many more.
Why, now not last 52 years? All this couldn’t had taken place if not because of strong Parliamentary oppositions and support of Malaysia in whole.
The One Malaysia Concept will remain as half Malaysia (1/2) or One Malaysia two system if drastic changes don’t take place at the Federal Level. Though the concept of One Malaysia remains vague, however I believe the delivery system need a boost. Just look , how the Federal Government authorities been miss used by ruling members.
a) Anti Corruption agency going after One Hundred over ringgit dispute while billion dollar scandals , million dollar palace owned by corrupt member of ruling party , Minister using government asset for party or personal usage.
b) Police act blindly against opposition elected representative. No need prior police report , no need warrant of arrest just grab them. But when come to members of ruling parties suddenly from nowhere all rules of law become in force. We need Police report to take action, we cann’t simple arrest anyone, the situation don’t allow us to act, making themselves foolish in an attempt trying to make others foolish.
c) It’s about 8 months since death of A Kugan in Police Custody , until today no one arrested yet. Why? Since the murderer are among themselves. Followed by Teoh Beng Hock whom died within 12 hours under the custody of MACC. Why? How?
d) One State, Two Menteri Besar, Two Speakers, Two Exco Members, even Two Assembly Secretary and Assembly within Assembly only happens in Malaysia. The Court too favours Federal ruling members by allowing their appeal within 24 hours but for others wait, wait , wait . Probably they are waiting for something to take place like in Japan today. The Opposition DPJ crushes ruling LDP by breaking their Half a Century unbroken record.
e) Worst still Economically the 67 billion stimulus fund yet to see any stimulation on Malaysian Economy. Although the export Value for first six month shows improvement however, it’s totally artificial as Petroleum and commodities contribute more then other valued added or industrial output.
When talk about Petroleum, the One Malaysia Two standard applies here too. Royalty rightfully belongs to Kelantan no sound at all but Terengganu gets it just to keep the ruling party members loyal to present government.
There are much more we can discuss over here , but I don’t wish to spoil your MERDEKA mood. Take a minute to remember our forefathers and past leaders contribution to this beautiful nation now called MALAYSIA.
