Breaking News: Manikavasagam To Resign

UPDATE 1

After having numerous conversation with grass root supporters,party members and state government personal. YB Manikavasagam will push on and work towards fixing the reason mix-up’s and demolitions that have unfortunately occurred.He will only resign if no action is taken to rectify the happenings lately.

**NOTE – YB Manikavasagam HAS YET TO RESIGN as Deputy Liaison Chairman Parti Keadilan Rakyat Negeri Selangor (He is still a PKR Member of Parliament for Kapar) **

Breaking News :

Y.B S. Manikavasagam , Member of Parliament Kapar says he is resigning as Deputy Liasion Chairman Parti Keadilan Rakyat Negeri Selangor with immediate effect.

S. Manikavasagam is expected to submit his resignation letter to Parti Keadilan Rakyat , Selangor Chief on Monday 29 Oct 2008.

It shows He is serious and committed in upholding the rights of all Human Being. When conveying this message at Kulai last night he says “I’m not like other leaders holding on position despite knowing Rakyat’s rejection”

    The Selangor state government should not repeat the mistake done by the former Selangor government, who had in my view, ignored the plea of the Indian community in demolishing temples. That government, especially the then Menteri Besar totally disregarded the views of the community, MIC included. They suffered the backlash at the March general election.

    Now Pakatan is going the same way. The MB has not even commented on the issue. Is it because of fear that the government might face backlash from the Malay community for speaking for Hindus?

    HINDRAF is shocked with the statement made by Dr.Xavier Jayakumar which appears to echo that of the usual excuses given by BN and UMNO leaders that Temples are demolished because they are not “registered”.

    We challenge Dr Jayakumar and his Pakatan Government to produce the necessary provisions of the state Law that stipulated the necessity of the so-called “format”. To add insult to injury he had the audacity to say this is not a Temple but a shrine. Is he trying to indicate that it was okay to demolish a shrine? How less is a shrine than a temple?? The problem with these politicians is they do not give a dam about the feelings of

    Hindus and the need to provide and gazette places of worships belonging to Hindus.

    HINDRAF have specifically written to the 5 Pakatan led Governments to gazette all temples (which is directly under their purview) but till date they have not taken any positive steps to do the same and keep misleading the people in the same way BN did.

    Vanakkam YB,

    Many confused on the matter above. YB and YB Dr xavier admitted that the temple demolished by the authorities.

    But YB zuraidah and YB Anwar ( in his blog) denied it. According to them the temple i under renovation.

    so… the truth???

    Dear YB

    I staying few meter from this temple and I know better than others.Ampang have 4 Big temple and 20-30 unregister temple and Only ONE TAMIL school.Why we need more and more temple than a school.The school faciality and very poor but our Indian are care for temple and spend few thousand for temple, but ask for donation for school Rm 10-20 only they donate.

    Dear YB Indian we need you to fight for Indian education and others …not for the this temple.This temple is situated in Forest.Do we need temple in forest,Do you go to temple in forest? will you.This place was well known for couples.there is waterfall next to it and lot of couple going there,you know what i mean…so do we need temple there.why not our Indian go to this four big temple.

    Please dont make this temple issue Big,please help on Tamil school,and please do something to those like to build temple anywhere thay like.

    hi YB,
    please dont resign. by resigning you are putting malaysian indian one short of influential manpower. The indians need you in your struggle. Mistake do happen, and instead of quitting, you should make this stand and rectify the problem with all the authority and might that you had.

    Im speaking as a non-Indian macha who is a staunch supporter of you and Pakatan Rakyat.
