If you have been reading the mainstream papers for your updates of the Pematang Pauh by-elections, you would only find out today that Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim is now the Member of parliament of Permatang Pauh. He is back after a over 10year absence from the parliament with a resounding victory last night.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (KeADILan): 31,195 Votes
Hanafi Mamat (AKIM): 92 Votes
Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah (BN): 15,524 Votes
Total Voters: 47,258
% Voters : 81 peratus
Spoilt Votes: 447 undi
Majority: 15,671 undi
Winner: Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail (KeADILan)
Voters on 8 Mac 2008: 30,348 votes
Majority: 13,398 votes
Congratulations to those of you who came out and voted, congratulations to those worked day and night in ensuring this win,congratulations bloggers and alternative media like Malaysiakini,Blog,MalaysiaToday and the Barisan Rakyat Bloggers who covered the by-election like the mainstream should have and Congratulations to Malaysia for this results. The message cannot be clearer.
The real battle has begun and we will work to ensure this is a Malaysia for all Malaysians!
