Kulai – Speaking at a dinner function here S. Manikavasagam said he believe Government may release Hindraf leaders currently detained under draconian Internal Security Act soon. Based on Information received from trusted source prior to Permatang Pauh by-election I believe Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi Government found claims that Hindraf leaders as threat to National Security is baseless. They might release at least 3 out of 5 Hindraf leaders sooner if not by Deepavali. This could be the reason why MIC President S. Samy Velu tries to act as middleman in securing for the release of 5 Hindraf leaders. Anyhow, let’s us continue to pray for all ISA detainees well being he added.

The Dinner held at Barisan National strong hold to mark establishment of ten new branches of Parti Keadilan Rakyat by former members of PPP and IPF.

Manikavasagam also assured Indians that he would ensure that stern action taken to culprits behind Ampang Temple Demolishment incident. Manikavasagam is expected to meet Menteri Besar Selangor on Monday 29 Oct 2008 .
