Pulau Ketam an Island located  off the coast of Klang faced Clean Water supply problem since  last one week. The Island falls under the Kapar Parliamentary.

During visit by YB S. Manikavasagam to the Island Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) oficers said they still in process in identifying the location of pipe burst since Divers checking 17kms undersea pipeline. It may take up to one month or more to rectify the problem arised.

Attempt by S Manikavasagam to meet Klang District Syabas Engineer failed as they prefer him to discuss this matter with their Chairman at Headquarters. “If they want me to meet the Chairman , or Minister I will do it ” added Manikavasagam . It’s my duty as people’s representative to ensure their needs being fulfilled.

Earlier after General Election the Islanders faced electricity supply problem for which Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor himself was here. Now , we face Water shortage. This kind of problem may damp the local tourist Industry including Homestay Program promoted by Ministry of Tourism , Malaysia.

Later, at Royal Selangor Yatch club Manikavasagam met Mr Genisan the Contractor in charge identifying and fixing undersea pipeline. Mr Genisan said they manage to locate the burst area and promise to solve within next 10days.
