S Manikavasagam is first time Member of Parliament Malaysia, Kapar(P.109).He stood under the ticket of Parti Keadilan Rakyat(PKR). He also sits in PKR's Supreme Body Council and PKR's Political Bureau Member .

Confirming from a post today PKR received about applications from the supporters of the former MCA and Ministry of International Trade and Industry parliamentary secretary Dr Tan Yee Kew. In a special ceremony today at the Klang Executie club in klang Datin Paduka Tan and her supporters submitted their application to be part of the reformation that is hitting our shores.
Last Thursday the Kapar office received applications from 3000 new members to join PKR.
