Press Statement on Hindraf Restructuring Exercise

The recent move by HINDRAF Chairman to restructure the Makkal Sakthi Movement is a strategic action to face new challenges and to prepare the Indian voters for the next elections.
I had very lengthy discussions with Waytha Moorthy who is leading the Movement from London and I am convinced he knows what he is doing. He plans ahead and is a far sighted person which many people do not understand. Its just like when he instructed the Rose rally campaign last year. Initially everyone thought it was silly to give roses to the PM who had arrested our leaders but eventually after February 16th Rally many understood the logic behind it. The rose rally enhanced the reputation of HINDRAF as a world class organisation and it clearly made the Government and the UMNO PM stupid in the eyes of international leaders. The notion that HINDRAF is linked to LTTE was once and for all wiped out from the International scene.
The same goes to the visit to PM’s House for Hari raya. Again many HINDRAF critics did not understand the idea behind it. But eventually even the save Raja Petra campaigners joined us for the open House and confronted the PM. Tell me – when do the rakyat have the opportunity to meet the PM eye to eye if not hari raya. So Waytha moorthy’s strategy was for the people to be bold and face the PM and look into his eyes – wish him Selamat hari Raya as well as appeal to him to release our leaders. These are all well strategized ideas that he had formulated and these types of campaign was never seen/experienced before by Malaysians.

He wants to prepare the people now itself to work together with KEADILAN DAP and PAS to remove the current BN government. I urge all our supporters to be patient. In the interim there are proxies of BN who are trying to confuse the people by claiming they were the original founders of HINDRAF and invented the slogan makkal sakthi.
These cheap publicity seeking people have forgotten that HINDRAF was formed in P.Uthayakumar’s office and he was not even present there at the time of formation of the organisation by Ramaji and Waytha moorthy. This man talks nonsence and is no doubt a tool of BN to confuse our supporters.
