As rightfully pointed by writer, the below mention scenario happen recently in one of Local Bank situated at Bangsar Kuala Lumpur. Instead of SMS to her friend the officer accidentally send SMS to clients mobile number that she wrote jot down just next to her friends number.
You go into a bank and to get some banking work done. While you are at the bank you are having trouble getting the information required to make a certain payment. When a amount is quoted for you to make a payment ,there is no proper explanation on why the amount is such.
What do you do?
You clarify and re-clarify. Now what if every time you ask you get different figures being quoted. Due to the nature of the query, verification from different branches are required. You leave your contact number with the bank personal to get back to you and as you are making your way out of the branch, you suddenly receive a sms on your mobile saying :
(‘Si keling uma td bnyk songgeh tension btul nk windsn lah x nk la dkat 1 jam
melyan dia. Mesti x leh rnew rtax dia kita rasa ada saman sbb biasanye cstmr bnyk
hal memang x lpasnye rtax dia. Td kta ckp dgn alvin nanti u check dgn alvin k n tel
no cstmr pun dh bg. Tq- sarna dis my 2nd tel no’)
You then get a family member to come to help sort this out and when you approach the bank, they acknowledge the mistake and the person who sends out the sms admits that it was her mistake and promise to give a acknowledgement to this case in writing. A week an a half has past and nothing has been received as yet.
The victim receives a bouquet of flowers today out of no where and when confronted the bank they say that the matter is being investigated and will revert when they have a update together with a contact of another bank personal.
The bank has got the right to investigate but a whats taking them so long for a acknowledgment?
The victim is in a fix right now and needs to fix this attitude and get compensated for the trouble they have gone through.
We live in 2008 in a nation that claims to be a country where all races live in perfect harmony and yet we face such people. Should we tolerate such behavior? What are your thoughts??
(Victim details, bank details will not be revealed without the consent of the victim)
Though Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat Kapar had not involved directly yet, we await feedback from said Bank to the complainant . Let see how fast the bank act and their social obligations to Malaysian Community.
It’s Now or Never.
