Justice Abdul Wahab Patail of Kuala Lumpur High Court is expected to deliver his judgement on an appeal by Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam over the dismissal of his application to strike out a RM10mil defamation suit filed by a Former Sentul Police Chief ACP K Kumaran against him and three others on Oct 7, 2008.
Manikavasagam, filed an application to strike out the suit, saying that it was frivolous, vexatious and an abuse of the court process on Sept 4, 2007 . He claimed that ACP K. Kumaran had violated the civil servants’ regulations stipulated in the General Orders and the Police Act by bringing this action.
Malaysian actress Sujatha, age 29, died mysteriously at Klang general hospital in July 2007. Though reports claims paraquat pesticide consumption caused her life some believe she was murdered. Sujatha was personal secretary of Vellpaari, managing director of Maika Holdings before her death. Sources say both of them were romantically involved for along time, though Vellpaari was married Shaila Nair, and Sujatha pressed Vellpaari to marry her.
Some information claimed Sujatha and her Family living luxuriously including driving Ferrari Car and Mercedez Benz even before her death. The presence of the Work Minister S SamyVelu and his son Vellpaari during her final rite raises public doubt beside why she was taken to Klang General Hospital instead of KL General Hospital which just few kilometers away.
The Doctor whom treated Sujatha at Klang General Hospital believed to be related to Samyvelu currently running his own private Medical Centre in Klang.
While, police seem to head no where on their investigation as no charges filed until today despite been pressured by Manikavasagam and other NGO’s.
