S Manikavasagam is the elected MP of Kapar(P.109).He stood under the PKR ticket.He is also in the Environmental Committee(opposition).

Well Known Tamil Film Fight Master and actor Mr Karate Raja made a surprise visit to Kapar Community Service centre on 29th July 2008.
He decided to visit Y B S. Manikavasagam after hearing about him from his fans. He congratulate YB for his elections victory while pledge support where possible.
After spending about 30minutes talking about various issue affecting Indians in Malaysia and Tamilnadu, and film Industry development we call upon YB and family to visit Chennai .
Kapar Community Service centre wishes him all the best on his all undertaking.
