WHAT SENSITIVE UNIFORM BY METAL CRAFT COMPANY?
Check out response by MACC Head as reported by th Star today as below . He wanted to sue a Elected Representative for questioning a public servant. They can harsh me at mid of night , but when people’s representative questions there comes all the legality which never be seen in force.
Anyway, I’m glad on his admission of making recommendation. The question now is at what strenght was the recommendation? Did his recommendation was Metal Craft maker for “HEAD TO TOE” procurement? I’m not aware what type of sensitivity there for anti corruption officer uniform . Alright it sensitive , why procure it through Metal Craft Maker?
Why, neither he nor the Finance Ministry dare to response on possible flaws on the Direct Negotiation procedures? If procedures been followed then, disclose the documents to public.
Allegations continue against MACC head
KLANG: The Opposition continues to hound outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption (MACC) Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan in the last few days before his resignation.
Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam, who is from the PKR, has lodged a report in the Klang district police station at 11.30am yesterday, alleging that a RM7.5mil contract for the new MACC staff uniform had been awarded to a company through direct negotiations without open tender.
He further claimed that Ahmad Said had given the contract without following proper procedures and that the cost of the uniforms had ballooned several times after the tailoring was subcontracted to two other companies located in Kajang and Kuala Lumpur.
“I have documents such as invoices which I will bring up in the coming parliamentary sitting,” he told reporters.
Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop confirmed the report.
In an immediate response, Ahmad Said denied any wrongdoing or alleged abuse of power and said he would take legal action against those saying otherwise.
“Yes, I did recommend a company that specialised in the tailoring of ‘sensitive’ uniforms but the decision to award the contract was by the Treasury.
“I have nothing to do with the company concerned and I reserve the right to sue anyone who claims that I am involved or have abused my power,” he said.
